Trust & Safety
Reviewed before going live
Every listener application is checked by our team before that profile can appear in search.
Verified payments
Top-ups are confirmed with Paystack before a wallet is ever credited — never on trust alone.
Reports reviewed by people
Every profile and session can be reported. A human looks at it — nothing is auto-dismissed.
How we vet listeners
Anyone can apply to become a listener, but not every application goes live. Each one is reviewed by our team before the profile can appear in Browse or take calls. We're checking for basic identity consistency, a completed profile, and anything that raises an obvious safety concern. This isn't a perfect background check — it's a first filter, backed up by ongoing ratings and reports once a listener is active.
What happens after you report someone
You submit a report
From any profile or active session, in a couple of taps. You can add context if you want to, but you don't have to.
A person reviews it
Reports go to our team, not an automated filter that silently closes the case. We look at session history and any prior reports on that account.
We act on it
Depending on what we find: a warning, a temporary suspension, or permanent removal. Serious safety issues are escalated immediately rather than waiting in a queue.
You're not left in the dark
You can block the account right away, independent of how the report is resolved, so you're never stuck waiting to feel safe again.
Payments you can trust
Wallet top-ups are processed and confirmed through Paystack before your balance changes — we don't credit a wallet on an unconfirmed payment. Listener earnings are tracked per session and are only ever a share of a rate the listener set themselves and you saw before the call started. Neither side ever sees the other's payment details.
Billing transparency during a call
Every voice and video call shows a live timer, the cost so far, and — for members — a running wallet balance that counts down as the call happens, so a low-balance disconnect is never a surprise. Listeners see their live earnings the same way.
What isn't allowed
- Harassment, hate speech, or threats directed at another user
- Sharing another person's private information without consent
- Soliciting sexual content or arranging to meet in person through the app
- Attempting to move payment outside the app to avoid fees or oversight
- Impersonating someone else, or misrepresenting your age
Any of these can result in a suspension or permanent removal, and serious cases may be reported to relevant authorities.
Staying in control of your spending
Because sessions are billed per minute or per message, you're never charged more than the time you actually spend. You can see your transaction history in full under Wallet at any time, and there's no auto-renewing subscription to forget about.
If something feels wrong
Trust your instinct. You can end a call, block a profile, or report a session at any point — none of these require the other person's agreement, and none of them are held against you. If you're facing something urgent or feel unsafe, contact local emergency services first; our team can support with account and platform-level action afterward.
